Welcome to Study Abroad!
We are pleased that your son or daughter is interested in participating or has chosen to participate in the KU Study Abroad Program! Based upon the experiences of literally thousands of students, we know that study in a foreign country can be exhilarating, challenging, and often is one of the most lasting aspects of a student's education.
Advisors in the Office of Study Abroad (OSA) work with students for several months prior to their departure. We supply each program participant with a KU Study Abroad Orientation Handbook and other information relevant to the study abroad experience. We also give students a lengthy list of questions to help them prepare themselves for study abroad. We encourage students to share this information with their parents, and urge you to take time to read through the materials as well as review the information on our website.
Thank you for your interest and the support for your student. We appreciate your interest in your student's study abroad options. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our office and we will do our best to help you.
Please keep in mind that our office is bound by FERPA student privacy guidelines and if your student has not given us permission to speak with you about their program, we will only be able to answer general questions.
We anticipate that your student's study abroad experience will be enjoyable and educational and we are here to help your student make the most of the KU study abroad experience.
