Program Description:

Kevin and Joann Nunnink Study Abroad Scholarship

The Kevin and Joann Nunnink Study Abroad Scholarship supports KU degree seeking undergraduates who meet the following criteria.

The recipient must:

  1. be a currently active participant in St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center programs and receive a recommendation from St. Lawrence Center
  2. have graduated from a high school in a metropolitan area under 75,000 in population in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Iowa, Arkansas, or Nebraska
  3. have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  4. have financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The selection of recipient(s) will be based on demonstrated financial need, a recommendation from St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center and review of an essay submitted by the student. Awards range from $500 - $2,000.

Students meeting the above criteria who plan to study abroad in the summer, fall or spring are encouraged to apply.

Application Procedures

All applicants will be required to submit the following documents. Applicants who have not begun an application for a study abroad program will not be eligible for the scholarship.

  • Scholarship Essay
  • Unofficial Transcript or Advising Report
