Alexis McKinley Jones, Associate Director, earned an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Psychology also from KU.  Alexis joined the Office of Study Abroad in February 2014 and is responsible for overseeing the Study Abroad Curriculum Integration project which is a campus-wide initiative to fully integrate study abroad programs into the degree plans for students across the university.

Alexis began working at KU in 2003 and has held positions in both the School of Business and the School of Engineering.  Her role in the School of Business was working with faculty and students participating in the CIMBA Italy Program, and in the School of Engineering she oversaw all recruitment and retention programming for undergraduate students.  She spent a summer abroad in Florence, Italy, as an undergraduate student and then later moved to Monterrey, Mexico, where she taught English at a local high school.  She has travelled to 15 countries, and her favorite destinations are Brazil and Italy.
