Each fall, one KU Industrial Design student can participate in a semester-long exchange at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, in Stockholm.

Students follow the same schedule as Konstfack’s third-year Industrial Design students. This includes an internship for a portion of the semester. A complete guide to the courses offered during the third-year Fall can be found via the Konstfack course catalog (.docx).

Divide the number of ECTS credits in half to convert them into the appropriate number of KU credits.

Interested students are encouraged to meet with Prof. Lance Rake to discuss how the Konstfack coursework will apply to their Industrial Design degree requirements.

Housing is available through Konstfack, but is not guaranteed, so prompt application is strongly encouraged. The housing consists of studio apartments in a building that is in the same industrial complex as Konstfack. Information on exchange student housing at Konstfack can be found at Konstfack Housing.

SAGE is dedicated to creating international engagement opportunities that meet the needs of all our students and providing resources to support you through the process of studying abroad. Study abroad is achievable for students of all identities including our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and students with religious/non-religious viewpoints. Before selecting a program, consider how your identities may impact your experience abroad in unique ways and talk with your Program Coordinator about any program-specific concerns. Students with documented disabilities should discuss any accommodation needs with their Program Coordinator early in the planning process.

Check our Identity Abroad page and resources listed below for information specific to you and other students who may be on your program.
