Biography

Kaitlyn Johnson joined Study Abroad & Global Engagement in January of 2023. As Program Coordinator, Kaitlyn manages KU’s international internship and practicum programs across all regions of the world and administration of KU’s membership in the ISEP consortium. She will also oversee inbound exchange students studying at KU for the semester or full academic year. 

Kaitlyn received her bachelor’s degree at KU in Political Science,  Global & International Studies, Slavic Language & Literature, and Russian, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies before attending Georgetown University for her master’s degree in Foreign Service. While at KU, Kaitlyn studied abroad in Russia on a semester long program at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.   Prior to joining SAGE, she participated in several other study abroad and research abroad programs in Paraguay, 53 countries in Europe, Haiti, Israel, Palestine and Golan Heights, and was selected and participated on the Critical Language Scholarship to study intensive Russian language in the Republic of Georgia.  She is excited to be back in Kansas and to facilitate great international experiences for fellow Jayhawks and students from around the world.
