Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark, and it is located along the east coast of the Jutland Peninsula. It is home to roughly 300,000 people, but it is estimated that Aarhus has around 850,000 inhabitants among its larger urban area. Aarhus was founded by a Viking settlement dating back to the 8th century, but today, Aarhus is known to be an economic and cultural center for Denmark with the largest trade and industry presence in the Peninsula. The area around Aarhus is partially covered with forests and lakes, and Aarhus sits on a bay.
The main university campus is situated in the northern part of the city, only a few kilometers from the city center.
Courses available for undergraduate students are in the Arts, Science & Technology, and Business & Social Science disciplines with some classes available in the Health program. Usually, students enroll in 24-30 ECTS hours, which would be the equivalent semester course load at KU.
MAUI-Utrecht students may live in single rooms or single apartments if indicated on the application. Private accommodations may be available as well.
