David Wiley, Program Coordinator, holds a B.A. in Political Science from Wittenberg University. David’s main responsibilities are the coordination of university exchanges and semester and academic year direct enrollment programs, as well as faculty-led spring break and summer programs in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordic countries.
David started at the KU Office of Study Abroad as the Outreach Coordinator during the summer of 1999, and switched to his current position in September 2001. David’s first international experience was living in Birkenhead, England for a few months during junior high, followed by a high school cultural exchange to Hamburg and Mannheim, Germany. As part of his undergraduate degree David studied at Stockholm University for an academic year, including an independent research project examining conflict in crafting local public transportation policy. Following the academic year, David interned for the summer at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), compiling data for the Arms Transfers and Arms Production SIPRI project.
