Nancy Chaison, Associate Director, earned an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Kansas and a BA in Latin American Studies from Mount Holyoke College.  Her duties include financial planning for the administrative unit and over 130 study abroad programs each year, working with the Director and Program Coordinators in program management and new program development, and managing Study Abroad scholarship funds.

Nancy began working at KU in 1985 in the Center of Latin American Studies, and joined the Office of Study Abroad in 1999.  In 2010 she was awarded the University of Kansas Unclassified Professional Employee of the Year.  Her international experience includes eight childhood years in Puerto Rico, her college sophomore year in Madrid, three site visits to Costa Rica and one to Spain, and personal travel in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Mexico.
