China is a mix of tradition and modernity, scientific innovation and spiritual belief, historical significance and cultural progression. With more than one billion people and extending an area of almost four million square miles, it is the world's most populated country and home to one of the world's oldest continuous civilizations. China has focused on a market-oriented economic development, helping the nation emerge as a major player in the global economy.

Beijing, the capital of the country, is located at the northern tip of the North China Plain and is the second largest city in the country with a population of 20 million. Combining rich history and bustling metropolis, Beijing is one of few cities that has served as a political, diplomatic and cultural center for a nation as large as China for so long. The city is home to some of the world's most famous historical sites, like the expansive Great Wall and the splendid Forbidden City.

There are two schools at UIBE that offer business courses in English, the School of International Trade and Economics and the School of Business.

The UIBE School of International Trade and Economics is one of China's leading centers for the study and research of international trade and finance. The school offers general and international focused business courses and beginning to advanced level Chinese language courses.

The UIBE School of Business offers international MBA courses which expose students to the latest theoretical and applied knowledge about international economics, business, marketing, finance, and law, as well as the practices in China.
