Please read the following instructions carefully:

You should work closely with your academic advisor to determine your eligibility to enroll in specific study abroad courses and to discuss your overall study abroad plan. You must meet the host institution’s course prerequisites, just as you would for KU courses.
Courses with a status of APPROVED equivalency have been reviewed and approved by KU faculty for equivalent KU course content. These courses do not require additional faculty signature. Courses with a status of “KU course” also do not require a faculty signature.
For courses with a status of “possible equivalency”, you must seek approval to determine if an equivalency exists. It is your responsibility to submit a syllabus or course description to the KU Faculty & Departmental Advisor in the relevant academic department so that it may be evaluated.
Course schedules can change, and the courses listed below may not be offered during the term you will be abroad. You should verify course availability for a specific term by visiting the host institution’s schedule of courses. In the event that one or more of your courses may not be available, you should have alternate courses ready and approved by your academic advisor.
Please note that you are not limited to the courses listed below. A complete list of courses can be found in the host institution’s course catalog. Note: any course not appearing on this list will need to be reviewed by the relevant KU academic department to determine if there is a KU equivalency.
Complete your Academic Plan and Approval for Study Abroad form and have your advisor sign the front page of your completed plan. Students participating in KU faculty-led programs or internships abroad do not need to complete the academic plan.
