Driving Motorsports Strategy Using A.I.
- Tours and presentations at Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Formula 1 factory in Milton Keynes, UK discussing how A.I. is used to develop both business and performance strategy for their race team operations.
- Tour of Red Bull’s wind tunnel testing facilities and unofficial test track (Silverstone)
- Tours and presentations at commercial interests in London, UK discussing how A.I. is used to develop business strategy for their customers as well as their own internal business processes
This program consists of a semester-long KU campus spring course and a week-long visit to London during spring break.
Classes prior to the London visit will include an overview of business strategy, an overview of generative AI and the roles that it plays in the workplace, and a historical overview of Formula 1’s organization and business operations up to the present era.
Monday through Wednesday of spring break week, the group will visit with various commercial interests in London discussing how A.I. is used to develop business strategy for their customers as well as their own internal business processes.
Thursday will be spent at Oracle Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes, focusing on topics such as sponsorship package valuations; supply chain management; race team logistics; racecar performance development; driver performance development; race operations.
On Friday the group will head out to the Silverstone F1 track and museum.
Arrival day, Sunday, March 14, and Saturday, March 20 will be used for visits to various historical sites to better understand the commercial, cultural and historical significance of the UK.
The historic city of London is a global center for commerce, the arts, fashion, media, education, research and professional services and is one of the world’s leading financial centers. Diverse and rich in culture, over 300 languages are spoken within the Greater London area. The extensive London Underground is recognized as the best subway in the world, making travel easy and efficient to famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, West End theaters, Tower of London, Greenwich and the Prime Meridian and numerous other museums, theatres, and sporting events.
Students will enroll in either IBUS 500 Individual Research in International Business or MKTG 400 Special Topics in Marketing: Driving Motorsport Strategy Using A.I. for three credits.
Students and faculty will stay at a Bloomsbury neighborhood hotel near the Russell Square Tube station. Accommodation is double occupancy.

Business School Scholarship
Business students are eligible for School of Business scholarships to participate in this program. Students who have not previously received study abroad scholarships from the Business School will have priority for scholarship awards.
