Biography

Jenna Hunter-Skidmore, Program Manager, holds an M.P.H from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in International Health from Beloit College.  Her main duties include advising students and coordinating semester, academic year, summer, and faculty-led short term programs in Germany, Central & Eastern Europe, and Russia.

Jenna began working at KU in 2008.  Prior to joining Study Abroad & Global Engagement in 2015, Jenna served as Coordinator of the Global Awareness Program and as an Evaluation Project Manager for the Work Group for Community Health and Development.  Jenna studied abroad twice as an undergraduate student after receiving Boren Awards for international study – once for a summer in Fez, Morocco and once for a semester at Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.  During graduate school, Jenna interned at the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services serving Arab immigrants in Dearborn, Michigan. Jenna has also taught grade school in Honduras, studied French, Arabic, German, and Swahili, and lived and traveled extensively in southern Africa.
