Aaron Huerter

Aaron Huerter earned his master’s degree in Global and International Studies from the University of Kansas and his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at Kansas State University.  He is responsible for the management of the department's annual budget and its spending.  Key responsibilities include strategic fiscal analysis, planning and management of the fee-supported administrative unit, and supporting the budget development and revenue/expenditure reconciliation for approximately 180 study abroad programs annually.

Prior to joining Study Abroad and Global Engagement in April 2026, Aaron previously worked at KU’s Applied English Center and International Short Programs (2009-2022) and was a Finance Manager with the Shared Service Center (2024-2026).
