Biography —
Dana Hill is an education program coordinator for Study Abroad & Global Engagement. In her role, she provides financial aid and scholarship advising to students and administrative support to the department. She also helps run the Passport Center.
Dana is a triple Jayhawk. She earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish in 2012, a master’s degree in Spanish in 2016, and a doctorate in Spanish in 2021. Her dissertation focused on depictions of men and masculinity in women-authored novels about the Mexican Revolution. As an undergraduate, Dana participated in a study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain. As a graduate student, she was a GTA on a summer program to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After graduating in 2021, Dana worked in the Washington, D.C., area, first teaching and then with several nonprofits, including NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
