Students
Hello Global Jayhawks!
Study abroad has been a KU tradition since 1949 when the first Jayhawk went abroad. Today, 28.8% of undergraduates study abroad during their time at KU. We offer more than 165 programs in over 70 countries and have opportunities for every major.
Study Abroad & Global Engagement supports students of all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, income status, or levels of ability in pursuing their study abroad goals. We recommend all students check out our diversity abroad resources to choose a program that is the best fit for you.
Our office is dedicated to making international education financially feasible. We are proud to offer $200,000 in scholarships to students who study abroad each year. We also offer financial aid and scholarship advising to help students understand how the funding you receive to attend KU applies towards the cost of a study abroad program.
Each student we work with has a unique set of academic and cultural criteria they aim to achieve when studying abroad. Regardless of what it is you are looking for, we are here to help! Visit us in our Info Center for drop-in advising Monday through Friday from 9-5. Our team of peer advisors is available to help answer any questions you may have, talk about their experiences abroad, and navigate the resources available to students to support them every step of the way.
We look forward to connecting with you and helping you get one step closer to studying abroad! If you are unable to visit us in the physical office, please feel free to email us any questions you may have to studyabroad@ku.edu.
