DIS offers many areas of study, including Architecture and Design, Biomedicine, Business, Child Development & Diversity, Economics, European Politics, Medical Practice & Policy, Philosophy, Neuroscience, Sustainability, and more. Courses are taught in English by local faculty. Danish and Swedish language is offered as an option.

Courses are designed for undergraduate students in their junior or senior year and are geared toward students prepared to do serious academic work. DIS will consider second-semester sophomores with high academic achievement who have taken the required course prerequisites.

Study Tours:

Core Courses include a week-long Program Study Tour to a European destination and a Core Course Week, comprised of a two-day seminar in Copenhagen and three-day short Study Tour. Both Study Tours are faculty-led and integrated into the Core Course curriculum. Some Core Courses offer multiple Study Tour options and we do our best to match you with your first preference. Elective courses also incorporate local field studies during the semester to add depth and perspective to the course.

Summer:

DIS offers summer courses running over five sessions, including lab and research options. You can choose one course per session. If you choose multiple sessions, you can stay in one location, or mix and match between Stockholm and Copenhagen.

The DIS homestay is consistently the highest rated housing option. Other options include living in residence halls with DIS students as well as local and international students, living with a local roommate, and living with other DIS students in shared apartments.

SAGE is dedicated to creating international engagement opportunities that meet the needs of all our students and providing resources to support you through the process of studying abroad. Study abroad is achievable for students of all identities including our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and students with religious/non-religious viewpoints. Before selecting a program, consider how your identities may impact your experience abroad in unique ways and talk with your Program Coordinator about any program-specific concerns. Students with documented disabilities should discuss any accommodation needs with their Program Coordinator early in the planning process.

Check our Identity Abroad page and resources listed below for information specific to you and other students who may be on your program.

Junior standing. GPA of 3.0 preferred.
