Victoria Garcia Unzueta

Victoria Garcia Unzueta is the communications coordinator for the Study Abroad & Global Engagement office. In her role, Victoria markets study abroad and global engagement opportunities, supervises student peer advisors and advises students interested in studying abroad.  

They have a B.S. in Journalism with a minor in Brazilian studies from the University of Kansas. Victoria joined the SAGE team in Fall 2023 and before this position, they worked as the communications coordinator for the History of Black Writing, a non-profit research project through KU's English Department. She also participated in the Language and Culture in Salvador, Brazil program where they spent two months living in Salvador, Brazil with a host family and studying Portuguese.
