Embracing the Opportunity: My 8-Week Internship Experience in Kansai, Japan

Embarking on an international internship is often a dream for many students, and for me, that dream was realized through an incredible opportunity in Kansai, Japan. Over the course of eight transformative weeks, I engaged in a professional internship at Nano Base Co., Ltd., a company specializing in cutting-edge technologies. My experience was not only professionally enriching but also personally rewarding, thanks in no small part to the generous support I received from the Freeman Foundation Scholarship for East Asia Internships.

The Freeman Foundation Scholarship is designed to assist U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who seek the opportunity to explore the realities of working in East Asia while earning academic credit. For those applying, the scholarship can range from $2,500 to $5,000, significantly easing the financial burden of international internships. This support is critical, as it empowers students to immerse themselves fully in their experiences without the looming pressure of finances. 

In my case, receiving the scholarship was a turning point that enabled me to embark on my internship.
